I'm sat here in my hotel room in Mumbai, due to give my talk in an hour or so.
I'm a bit nervous as I've decided to do something different and therefore have written this talk from scratch. It's tentatively titled "9 Things I Believed Last Year That I Don't Believe Now".
I'm only here for a ridiculously short period of time, but I can report this is a wonderful country. I will be back.
Because RIG is on course for world domination this weekend Russell is speaking at DeConstruct and Tom is talking at the Do Lectures. I can see it now RIG Brighton, RIG Cardigan, and RIG Mumbai.
RIG tours the world, and I miss all of it :-(
I'm sure the talk will go well. I always find that the first time I give a talk is best - something about it all being fresh in my mind still.

Thanks for that amazingly inspiring talk! And this blog... it's a design student's Alice in Wonderland!
Hope to see more of RIG India too

I was not at Deisng Yatra but did hear about your talk there. Could you please share your thoughts on this blog?
Thanks,

9 things I believed last year that I don't believe now:
1. University equips design students for a professional environment.
2. A good degree reflects the quality of work produced by that student.
3. The D&AD New Blood event increases your chances of getting a job considerably.
4. Paying to enter competitions is worthwhile.
5. Keeping every workbook and every sketch ever drawn is worthwhile.
6. Contacting people you wish to work for can be done after you graduate.
7. A University degree show produces leads.
8. A good one-page CV is important.
9. I will eat less beans.

Profiles of the speakers and a timetable for the conference. That sort of thing.
